Seaport Texel facilitates maritime research, ‘saline agriculture’, agriculture, alternative energy generation and is the home port of the Dutch maritime research fleet.
We operate from the vision that our port has to contribute to the renewal of knowledge and the maintenance of our living environment. We facilitate testing of ballast water treatment systems (BWTS) for certification and support national research on tidal energy.
